- 1.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Total hoax, no star earned, just required : This "book" or short story was a bigger shocker than E. A. Poe intended. The first 31 pages were devoted to Q&A and very awkwardly written discussions about Viagra; the "story" started somewhere in the middle of the actual tale, mid-sentence, and went for only nine pages. Not sure if the perpetrator is actually trying to advertise Viagra or just enjoying fooling folks. Very bad joke! ( Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2019 )

- 3.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Poe would have been disappointed : Poe should be read with more expression than this reader put into it. I couldn't finish this. I found a reading of this story done by Christopher Lee on you tube which I found much better. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2020 )
- 4.0 out of 5 stars from kirabug -- Classic Poe : Always a fan of walls and people falling to their own bravado. I doubt the style would sell today but it's worth the read for the history of the craft. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2016 )
